MR. NGO CHAN NAM: FROM SYSTEMS ENGINEER TO AN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED BLOCKCHAIN PHD

Starting from a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Mr. Ngo Chan Nam continued pursuing his academic passion and successfully earned a PhD from University of Trento — one of Europe’s leading research centers in Security, AI, and Information Engineering, with expertise in Blockchain, Cryptography, and Security Protocols.

His academic journey has been marked by several notable achievements:

▪️ 2018: Presented the research paper “Secure Decentralized Futures Trading” at IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy, one of the world’s leading conferences on security and privacy.

▪️ 2021: Co-invented the U.S. patent US11170439B2 on a decentralized trading model that preserves privacy and data integrity for large-scale financial systems such as CME and NASDAQ.

▪️ 2021: Published the research “Secure Dark Pool Trading” at Financial Cryptography and Data Security Conference, while also designing a cryptographic model based on zk-SNARKs — one of the core technologies behind Blockchain privacy protection.

▪️ 2023: Served on the Program Committee of the Privacy Enhancing Technologies Symposium, one of the world’s leading conferences on privacy-enhancing technologies.

Beyond research, he has also participated in international projects related to cybersecurity and financial infrastructure across Europe, while contributing as a reviewer and researcher within global security and privacy communities.

Before pursuing academia, Mr. Nam spent more than five years working at startups in roles including Systems Engineer, Back-end Engineer, DevOps Engineer, and Mobile Team Lead. This strong industry background shaped his research direction toward practical applicability and secure large-scale operations.

Continuing that journey, Mr. Nam joined Fabbi Japan as part of the Solution Division, where he continues to work on advanced challenges in Blockchain, cryptography, and distributed systems.

His journey also reflects the profile of a new generation of engineers at Fabbi Holdings — combining hands-on engineering experience with the academic depth needed to tackle complex enterprise challenges.
